reading what you guys wrote, i think you're both on the same page. what i write next, i don't intend to offend, i just don't have time to write it diplomatically.
"sandcastonly" is named sandcast only for obvious reasons.
nearly 10 years ago, December 2004, KP and i very deliberately chose the name "sandcastonly."
around 7 years ago, when KP, Chris and i discussed inclusion of the "K0", i reservedly but open-mindedly felt it would be a good thing, for a number of, what i felt (and still feel) good reasons, to include the "K0" machine and enthusiast community with "sandcastonly."
imho, while the sandcast and the K0 appear, at casual glance essentially the same bikes, with closer observation, they are not the same. and, to further clarify that point, early sandcast vins are not the same motorcycle as late sandcast vins. even more so, the early/late production sandcast bikes are not the same as the 2110-2113 p.p.bikes. none the less, i recognized and still recognize, the K0 was the last version of the 1969-70 era production CB750's, preceding the K1.
if Wayne can give the two CB750 model variations separate but equal representation......... WIN! - WIN! BRAVO !!!!
that being said, what i understand Wayne is proposing as far as web things sandcast and K0 is exactly what i was hoping for when we decided, around 2006-2007, to be sandcast and K0 inclusive. i bought a separate domain name "
www.cb750ko0nly.com" from Start Logic. i asked for someone to step up to the plate to manage "K0 Only." no one did. about 2 years ago, i cancelled the "ko0nly" domain name. and now, here we are.
i feel VERY fortunate to have Wayne step forward to take this over. if Wayne had not stepped forward and no one taken it over, i would have announced later this Spring the "sandcastonly" domain name and the Start Logic account would be closed when the renewal became due this coming December.
i truly believe Wayne is very sensitive to the representation of the sandcast AND "K0" CB750 via our web presence. i believe Wayne will do this right and do this well.
i like the idea and strongly support sandcast and K0 sharing an entry point and then having their own separate entrances to their own websites for each machines own individual respective discussion boards and machine specific information/communication.
My opinion, the bottom line, sandcast and K0 need to be separate. i can harldy wait to see what Wayne does, it's going to take alot of his time and energy, but, IT'S GONNA BE GOOOOOOOD !!!!!!!!!
financially, whatever Wayne spends to make things happen, I WILL SUPPORT IT.
