I love the detail, out standing, but there is something special about a unrestored original it will take you back to your roots better than a restored bike. If you had one new or close to new in 1969 to 1973 you will know the feeling

 Seeing these photo's makes me realize just how far I still have to go to get even close to such a high standard.  

I agree with Cris Noel.
Like James Ingram song says "I did my best, but I guess my best wasn't good enough".
I thought my restoration was almost finished, every day I see these pictures and luckily discover new informations to improve my motorcycle and continue this pleasurable and unfinishable work.
Sandcast fever makes me feel good.

It is a magnificent restoration, with many working hours and so many $$$$$!!
A single detail disturbs me when we arrive has such a level:  
The front brake Switch Assy (red) who does not correspond has the period... :'( :'(
I have only a desire it is to take a black marker and...............Ha!! I feel much better...  :) :)

Which single item of this bike had been restored?  ???  Maybe I am wrong but what I see is a bike made of new parts.

Yes, I agree with you, it is surement just the frame and the base of the engine that is original.. ???
At the same time sometimes it is necessary difficille to make otherwise because it does not remain big thing of really original on certain motorcycles..
The blue Sandcast of the Museum also has brake Switch red after period.. :-[ ???
There, I find it even more regrettable..

Please someone can correct my observations.
The bike is spettacular, but with some very litle inconsistences, like;

1)The top bridge 8x64 bolt must be monted from left to right.
2)The Kick hexagonal bolt uses a chromed bolt no "8".
3)The period mirrors had double logo with pat. number.
4)The horn used is a right horn not a left horn.
5)The starter motor cover don't use nut.
6)The tool bag is not correct. The grip for drivers is black, not red.
7)The correct period bike use round smooth oil filter, but is not wrong cause this part was recalled.
8)The swith assy stop correct for this period is black not red.

Yes I also saw it others, but less shocking..
We can also add TUBE Air Box not conform..
And I think that there is still others to discover.

But reassured me... ??? We are not going to redo one "88 Distintions"?   ;)

Guys, Guys Guys,
You need to be aware that Mr World has to provide a #1 restoration to his clients. Much of what is identified are parts that are well and truly unavailable to provide resto upon resto upon resto to complete. Where do you purchase a new black brake switch or new original air intake tubes. My restoration is a once only whereas he has dozens to complete for those that don't have the capacity to do what we do as a matter of course. The quality of finish with a Vic World bike is absolutely superb and if I could achieve what he does I would be well pleased indeed. Celebrate the fact he has the same passion as we all do and be more generous with your appreciation of this alone. There is a point where these very rare parts are unobtainable and will continue to be such. So! He uses later produced new Honda parts and also reproduction parts as well, but has he ever said he doesn't. Fellas, we need to be more generous with our positives and accept that repop and later issue parts are a part of the game cos if we don't, there will be a lot of unfinished restorations out there including my own bikes. Remember, there are very few unmolested original bikes and a restoration is just that; a restoration.
Anyone interested in how to convert an 050 harness into an 040 harness  ;D

2)The Kich hexagonal bolt uses a cromed bolt no "8".
For what it's worth this bolt on E100 was an "8" and the one on E1789 was chromed.  This engine is E2661 so maybe chrome is correct.  Either way I agree with KP, we shouldn't get too nitpicky.

I find that this price has have can begin must to be pernickety,
There are things on this Sandcast which should not be and it is my opinion.
There I think that it is not a problem of money but essentially a problem of time because to collect the missing parts of period there is needed a lot of patience, probably several years.. And he is not even certain as we can reach there one day.
Besides there, it is different because it is a work, a command of a customer..
For my project it makes already more than four years!! She will not be perfect, far from there!!  >:( :'(  
He thus arrives one moment when regrettably it is necessary to make choice..
For my motorcycle I can allow myself small gaps (and it reassures me) because regrettably I have no frame which corresponds has my Sandcast engine.
The word of the end for me, it is whom they are there and whom they have the merit to exist for the pleasure of our eyes..
