Looking for help.
I have been storing my dads 1969 for 10 years. He rode it off and on from the day he bought it till 1990. Been in a shop, garage and shed ever since. He finally realizes he will not ride it again so I am looking to get rid of it for a fair price to someone who can/will appreciate what it is. I was going to get it going but just haven't had the time to get to it. A local bike shop told me I could part it out and get alot more for it. No way am I going to tear apart a basically complete bike (missing mirror and oil tank cover).
Things I know it needs to e back on the road
New battery
Starter is out. We think it may be the Bendix
Fork seals
Tank cleaned inside (rust)
Brakes flushed
Carbs will need cleaning
Cosmetic Notables
Original front tire replacement rear
Faded paint
Missing right side oil tank cover (I have some/most of the pieces)
Missing mirror
Rims rust pitted
Pitting on fenders
Original seat, no tears or cracks
Starter cover dented
I have pictures but couldn't get them to load.
Let me know what you think, looking for direction on how or where to get rid of it. Make offer.
