Yamiya Pricing .. OEM Suppliers to Honda

I just ordered some parts directly from Yamiya, which I had brought over from Japan via someones suitcase !

I put the prices onto a spreadsheet and compared with UK suppliers etc.

There are some amazing price differences (even adding UK VAT and import duty costs) particularly on Genuine Honda fasteners/bearings/chains etc

One example is Yamiya '14- HONDA CB750 NUT, 8mm CYLINDER HEAD'  ... Over 600% difference in price between Yamiya and David Silver in the UK ( Yamiya parts are individually plastic bagged Genuine Honda parts)

The following is not strictly sandcast / K0 related, so please remove if you consider it inappropriate Steve  

I just noticed that my original 03/ 1971  CB500K0 seat foam has 'Bridgestone 164B02 or is it 164802' printed on it in blue ink  plus 323 922A embossed into it. So I guess BS must have been an OEM supplier of the foams to Honda. I wonder if they supplied the red foam material too?

Also noticed on my CB750K0 wiring loom that each coloured wire has 'Sumitomo 1969' printed on them in tiny text.

Ash, you're doing a great piece of research here and i would have no hesitation posting price comparisons, if you so will.  600% price difference in 8 mm head nuts...... ?   !

In no way am I criticizing DS or other European sellers. I have been a DS customer since 1986 since he first started out as a part time venture and without him many of my restorations would never have taken off, particularly my CB400/4 but I can't really understand the disparity in pricing, maybe it's related to the strong GBP v JPY.

Other examples are :-

Genuine CB750 (Takasago) primary chain set (in Honda bag) +104 %  more expensive in UK
Genuine CB750 Voltage regulator (in Honda packaging) +166 % more
Genuine CB750 6205 (Nick) bearing (in Honda bag) +230 % more

BIG question ....does anyone on here know of a Japanese parts dealer who sell genuine parts for other bikes (e.g. Cb500 four & CB350K twins) as Yamiya only sell CB750 & CB400F parts

Never actually bought off CMS, by the time you have added up delivery they are generally more expensive that David Silver's. DS have an excellent no quibble returns policy, not so as I understand  with CMS listening to other members on forums.

Andy Cepok in Germany seems the cheapest of the European suppliers.
