Sandcast Manufacting Location

Hello,

I am sure I can find this with some research, but does anyone know where the sandcasts where manufactured? In Southern California?

Also, is there any way to locate the original motor vin with the frame vin? For example, if you have a sandcast motor with vin 7414, how could you find out what frame number it came with? Does Honda have that information?

By the way, where is engine vin 7414? I bet that motor/bike would be worth a lot of money since it was the very last sandcast. Or vin 7415, the first die-cast.

I thought they were all made in Japan, i know Honda had a number of different production plants in Japan, and different models were made in different plants, and i do not know of any definative list that would tell you original eng and frame number combinations, Tom
