Not yet, need to adjust ignition and remove surface rust from the inside of the tank. The tires must be replaced as well because the current tires are the original 45 yrs old ones.

The first start of this great bike. The engine hasn't been opened, only the head gasket has replaced. With just 5,000 miles, this engine is almost 'new'. Runs great from the first time, needs some refinement. Being proud!

Adjusted the ignition, synced the carbs:

And did the first ride after 28 years! Just a short ride in the street as this bike still has its US title and not a Dutch title and is not insured.

The Dutch type-approval authority, RDW, approved this bike without any remark, for a Dutch title. The people there loved this bike, too! When a bike comes from outside the EU, the test is much more than just a paper work examination. All technical parts were tested. They test it according the rules from the date of first use, in this case 1970.
I am now waiting for the paper work in order to make a license plate. I will get a vintage title. In 1970, the bikes had a blue license plate.

Marcel,
What an exciting story! You will be smiling, so keep the bugs out of you teeth. I rode one of my KOs yesterday and had to brush my teeth, so be careful.
Enjoy,
Duane

Cool, that looks familiar to me when I passed "MOT" (TÜV) with my 03/1970  last year.

What VIN is yours?
Cheers, Uli (Leonberg, Germany)

My VIN is 104008**

Is your K0 originally from Holland/Germany? I thought that these turn lights are delivered in Holland and Germany only
