Does anyone know when the headlight shell rear hole got bigger? Also when did the wiring tang on the rear fender change direction?

Thanks

Steve

It hasn't been that busy here today. I did a search for you and came up dry. I thought I had read the information you are looking for as I need a headlamp bucket for my project but I cam up dry. I'm sure someone will chime in the with information you are looking for.

The hole got bigger in 1971. If it's a black bucket you can bet its a big hole.

I think the hole actually got bigger after 1971 as I recently bought two NOS 71s off DSS in the UK. They were old shells and both were small hole HM20s
And I am a caring and sharing person  ;D

Hi there! Yes KP is right, the smallholed headlight shell was used also on K1 model and it is originally painted in the same colour as the fork covers. The K2 and later has a big hole and it was in black plastic used together with cromed fork covers.
The two-hole (for taillight holder) rearfender with vertical wiring clips was used also on K0 models. The K1 was equipped with three mounting bolts for taillight holder and horisontal wiring clips. Regards, Bo.
