Hi all,
#1
I have for sale a set of no-number pipes taken off my son's early diecast CB750.
#1 and #2 have some damage. #2 has had a stainless plate welded onto the union between the pipe and muffler and while it has been professionally done, its still noticeable.
#3 and #4 are almost perfect and would be ideal for a daily rider. They are [in my opinion] 9.7/10 grade pipes
These are located in Canada and can be shipped by either Canada Post or UPS/Fedex etc at cost.
For obvious reasons I wont separate them.
Includes original fibreglass-wrapped baffles fitted. Does not include satin finished covers.
$1700CAD for the set.

#2
I also acquired a set of new Yamiya copy no-number pipes that are surplus to my current needs. I will only post pics of the original pipes so as to not confuse the used and new pipes. Everyone knows what the new Yamiya pipes look like.
Includes full set of repop baffles. Does not include covers, either satin or chrome finish.
$2900CAD location Edmonton Canada

General Discussion / engine #456
« on: July 29, 2021, 02:46:36 pm »
Hello all, Ive been offered a bike that has engine #456 installed in a K3-K5 frame and running gear.....
Its a real mongrelski, but the engine appears to have been restamped as the "B" is clearly overstamped [B/E] and looks a little hokey....I suspect it was a warranty engine poorly stamped by the local dealer. Photos are poor, but it has four cable carbs, and the seller says it has a 9 bolt clutch cover. It doesnt have the smooth oil filter but that not a concern to me as such.
Further, its been painted black and I cant tell if its a real sandcast or not.
Next problem is finding a matching frame and that appears to be why the bike hasnt sold already as anyone with any knowledge of these bikes would be facing the exact same issues Im facing in trying to determine is it real or a scam? and without a frame to match then of course its value is only $X.
Id be surprised if someone on this site doesnt already know about the bike and has maybe passed judgment on it already.
Comments please. And what is the motor worth? Its in Canada.

General Discussion / NOT A SANDCAST ITEM BUT ITS MY LATEST RESTORATION
« on: January 20, 2021, 09:14:43 pm »
Thought you may be interested in my covid-19 isolation enforced latest restoration. It is featured in the December 2020 issue of Classic Motorcycle Mechanics UK. Its a somewhat rare 1969 Kawasaki A7SS 350 disc valve twin 'trail' bike.
I hope I can finish my K0 to the same standard.

General Discussion / correct carbs for a diecast k0 engine #17XXX
« on: December 24, 2020, 04:34:25 pm »
Hi all, Merry Christmas and Im hoping that 2021 is better for everyone.......
I have my damaged engine cases back from the repair shop and the work done to fix the badly damaged gear box rear is exceptional and once its painted it will be undetectable.
With that being said the frame and bits are out being painted and my son wants to try out his fancy new ultrasonic cleaner and he wants to rebuild my carbs. Sooo, what are the correct carbs for this bike??? It was purchased with gantry carbs but given all the other 'fixes' perpetrated on this bike I take nothing for granted. Ive always believed that the gantry carbs were used from late 1969 onwards but that muddies the waters somewhat as the build date in November 1969 but the engine number is 17XXX.
I own two sets of gantry carbs and two sets of four-cable carbs so we can clean and install whichever one is more correct.
Any thoughts please?
Thanks, and be careful out there......

Front End and Suspension / help please dismantling K0 front forks
« on: October 26, 2020, 08:58:59 pm »
Hi all, Im dismantling my K0 front end and for the life of me I cant get the seals out of the fork lowers. I have the circlip out and have applied lots of heat, some gentle mechanical persuasion courtesy of a plastic hammer applied carefully to the lip of the lowers and no luck...........
What do I do next please?
Thanks

Parts Wanted / WANTED K0 ENGINE CASES 16000 NUMBERS
« on: September 09, 2020, 01:52:47 pm »
Help, the rear of the gearbox on my 16000 numbered engine is shot to pieces, kaput! Previous owner patched the damage with a sheet of tin, pop rivets and silicone then rode it till the engine destroyed itself. Oil pump was full of aluminum pieces and grit, my god!
Does anyone out there have a set of diecast cases they can part with, preferable in roughly that number range, or un-stamped would be even better.
Thanks

Parts For Sale / FOUR CABLE CARBS FOR SALE
« on: September 08, 2020, 05:34:21 pm »
Hi All, my son and I are starting to empty out our considerable reserves of parts and we have a set of four cable carbs for sale. These have aluminum bellmouths as shown in the photos. I dont know what the difference is between a standard set of these carbs and a sandcast set, so if someone can advise me Ill take more photos if necessary. My sons bike VIN is 11*** but these did not come off it, but were with the pile of spares we acquired when we took delivery of the bike.
Ill take offers based on whether these are sandcast or non SC carbs.
Thanks
Al

Hi All, Al here in Edmonton Alberta Canada. I dont own a sandcast, but I can always dream. I own a 1971 Japanese market 750 in Polynesian Blue. It has many of the features of a sandcast, with the addition of the 80kph warning light between the instruments. I acquired it here in Edmonton a few years ago in a very sorry state but it was complete so I was able to do a very gentle restoration , replacing only the safety related items and adding new paint in the correct colour which I was able to determine from the underside of the tank. Pipes, fenders, instruments and the engine are all original unmolested. The bike now has 12100 km. I acquired it with 8900 km on the clocks. I have replaced all the decals with the correct Japanese language decals and Im now looking for a correct Japanese language owners manual.
My son has just rebuilt a 69 diecast CB750, frame # 11***. The engine is diecast, but is unstamped, no numbers.
