Shows and Events / MID OHIO 2016 July 8th ,9th, 10th
« on: March 29, 2016, 10:26:18 am »
Every year, tens of thousands enthusiasts join the AMA and the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, and nearly 1,000 independent vendors at vintage motorcycling’s biggest bash. The event includes racing, the country's largest motorcycle swap meet, seminars, stars from the sports past and present, bike shows and more, all designed to recapture a simpler time and remind us what's fundamentally cool about riding motorcycles.

For a hint of what you’ll experience this year, check out our past coverage of AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days. Then, buy your tickets and mark your calendar. You’re about to experience the best that motorcycling history has to offer -- all over again.

Best regards,

Conrad Ledig

Parts For Sale / CB750 SANDCAST & K0 16012-300-004 CARB NEEDLE JET SET
« on: March 13, 2016, 02:03:09 pm »
I found (6) unopened 16012-300-004 CB750 Sandcast and K0 Carburetor needle jet set in my card box.
Replacing these needles will help make it run like new carburetors.
Nothing works like original NOS parts.
These are getting very hard to find.
Sell them for $60.00 each with $5.00 shipping to the Lower 48 states.
Email me with any questions.

Does anyone in the membership have any information/books on the parts/part numbers sold thru Honda to the public to convert a CB750 into a CR750. Was there a parts book Honda Dealers Parts Dept. used to sell these to the public? Any help would be great.
Best regards,
Conrad

I am selling copies of a 1969 CB750 PARTS CATALOG compiled 1st of April 1969 FIRST EDITION.
There is some writing on a few pages where the Honda Parts Manager was trying to keep up with the number changes.
This book startes at serial number CB750E-1000001 and goes to nothing. Making it one of the very first catalogs with no revisions when printed.
email me with any questions.
$30.00 per copy with free shipping in the Conti. USA.
I take PayPal.

Thanks,

This guy is sure this non wrinkle tank came on his CB750 sandcast. Could that be the case or was it changed along the way?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/200937619170?item=200937619170&viewitem=&sspagename=ADME:X:RTQ:MOTORS:1123&vxp=mtr

He states:
So when I bought my sandcast: from the original owner; who put the dent in the tank (when it was new), somewhere/somehow from September of 1969 to my purchase in 1991 the tank morphed into a non wrinkle tank or it was switched from the tank featured in period photos with the owner (including dent) to another tank (with dent) - or- maybe it is the original non-wrinkle tank that came with the bike. It is not a wrinkle tank. It is the tank that came on the bike and I can assure you that #6655 is a sandcast.
I'm familiar with the sandcast site, my bike is on the registry. Some of the links from that site is where I found the data on the "two dimple" tank. If you have latter motorbikes with wrinkles, good. How they got there would be interesting I'm sure. However I'm confident this tank was original to my bike and it is not a wrinkle. Which is how all this correspondence started: I did not state the tank is a wrinkle tank. It is the tank that came on the motorbike. Solid chrome (no black stripe) trim piece and all.

Vintage Motorcycle days are right around the corner. Is anyone going? Is the club going to have get together? Anyone bring their Sandcast? Does any one have a gathering location?

Best regards,

Conrad
