"88 Model Distinctions" / Re: Early Side Cover Badges/Emblems
« on: October 08, 2015, 03:49:25 pm »
I had already noticed something going to restore my badges.
It 'also true that the big manufacturers of cars and motorcycles are supplied by different external suppliers. Some details although built to the specifications may be different from each other.
I do not think a change in design, but different products from different suppliers

"88 Model Distinctions" / Re: Early Brake Pedal
« on: October 08, 2015, 03:34:40 pm »
Hello KP and Steve, actually something that I had never thought of before. I remember riding  my bikes I always noticed that one of them had the pedal more 'comfortable to use, without bumping your foot on the engine cover. Now that I reflect on it may be due to a different bending and welding a more 'outside the knurled part of the pedal. Tomorrow I'll check in the garage.
Soon.

Web Site Changes / Re: 91 Differences
« on: February 01, 2015, 09:42:52 am »
It's a great idea, all the differences will be an active link.
Waine  can you creat a dedicated email address where send the pics?
Every email must objected with the number "#"  of the difference interested.
So will be very easy the classification with the numeric order trought the emails title.

Front End and Suspension / Re: Rear shock absorbers.

After 40 and more years is not easy find the absorbers in this condition, with untouched decals.
The aftermarket are very similar.
I have some doubts.

Hi at al.

From list:

6. no “off-on-off” marking on kill switch body, 1-673)

The recently sold on ebay #744 shows the no off-on-off smouth right knob.
The same unmarked knob i've on my #737.

So i think that the row #6 must be updated.

Thanks for the attention.

Published Material / Re: French reviews

The rear red light appears to be UK model.
The bike has the lower handlebar and the higher regular (not oblique) master cilinder.
Problably the bike was modified for the french market.

Yeah Rick I remember someone posting here a few years ago saying they had a mid teen VIN with a damper bracket. Someone also posted saying their 3 digit VIN frame didn't so certainly doesn't seem to be an exact cut off VIN. Interesting about that bracket location

kp, please look at trhead KO restore of Maurzio from Tuscany.
