Steve, What number sandcast did the number 28 carbs stop at?

All sandcast's were factory fitted with #28 carb tops. According to UK parts list number 4, the original throttle cable part number changed at VIN 1017342. The same parts list  shows a change in carb assembly part number for all markets from VIN 1017630.
Suggests that #28 carb tops and early 5mm cable went to VINS around 1017500.
