Front End and Suspension / Re: Forks sliders oddity
« on: September 25, 2019, 01:28:46 am »
Hi!
I have checked my sandcasts and K0:s. I also have 4 brand new sliders, one lightly tapered with 12 mm nuts for the frontaxle shell. These were used on the first around 5000 sandcasts. The three others are non tapered and have 14 mm nuts. These are used for later sandcasts and all K0:s.
Looking forward if someone else is of different meaning.
Kind Regards, Bo from Sweden.

Sorry, do not understand. Can you post a pic to explane, Bo?

Wellcome to sandcast forum, Jean-Louis!

Having that bike for 39 years is great. I started with a CB400 when I was 18 in 1978, had my first K0 with 23.

We would like to know the VIN of that bike, bien-sur.

Have fun!

Thanks for offering and sharing those pics. I´m sure it will come to a serious collection.

Interesting to see how much she will bring. Should be included in VIN directory.

That early sandcast item has no casting date. Don’t know if the casting date came with the new plate but VIN 1983 has that date on the plate.

Very interesting stuff as always. Until today I would have said they were painted but now I see it in a different light.

Can you measure the depth of the paint?

One of one early 70th Sandcast peace belt closing made by sandcast admin himself.

I assume 750 - 1.000 US $

Thank you Wayne for all you did to us and this forum.

It would be great if the key could be passed to Ujeni who also did great contributions to this forum as well.

Hey Wayne,

I'm a designer and software engineer. And I happen to have a few sandcasts. I'll email you.

Original Color.

Mine was red so I had her repainted in red although I prefer b-g.

Much more rare fender than the double cut without hole.
But too expensive nevertheless.
