Anyone know what color the sheathing was on the early points assembly wires? E100 was black but may have been replaced. Of the others I have half are white and half are black. Replacements all seem to be white. Any opinions?

I don't THINK black or bright white is correct Mark. 576 was identical to the NOS part in in one of the boxes you have.

Here’s a pic of the points assembly from E100. I don’t think I’m going to be able to save it. You can see that the points wire has white (but dirty) sheathing. I have my doubts that this is correct. Wayne’s photo does look pretty close to two of my other sandcast ones. In real life it looks maybe a little more tan that in the picture. But I have some that are definitely black too. Anyone else have any observations? I’ll probably use the NOS one. It’s something that can be changed out later if I determine it’s not correct.

i always thought the sheath was an off white with sort of a greyish hint. the nos i've seen appear same color as original

I have the off white silicone coated/ glass braided sleeving for points, and two sizes for the alternator sub-harness plus grey heatshrink to tidy up the ends of the points leads (like CB350K points cable) plus clear heatshrink for the alternator sub harness ends. PM me you address if you need some Mark as I 'owe you one' anyway for the literature you kindly provided for me. The materials I have seem to match the originals on 1010382 diecast.

My V33 E69 has the off-white, almost greyish color sheath. It appears identical to the one in Wayne's picture.
