Title: Removing and re-installing Gas tank Emblems
Post by: oldhemisc on February 18, 2010, 08:26:54 pm
Long time since I posted here - last post was a question and so is this one. And so will be the next couple!

What methods of removing and reinstalling the gas tank emblems w/o wrecking/marring the emblem or the tank have worked best for y'all?

How about if there is a broken tab? Some sort of 2 sided tape?

Badges are held on by special little clip nuts that insert to mounting strip on tank. Best way to remove, use a thin bladed putty knife, carefully slide between tank and badge, then simultaneously, gently lift badge while moving knife length of badge. Clip nuts can sometimes be reused, otherwise available from Honda.
