The stamping is clearly poorly done. Also the vin pad doesn’t look like a typical sandcast pad to me. Steve and KP have offered some pretty clear insight and questions. I’d be asking for a clear image of the clutch cover area, particularly the 5 o’clockish position that should be void of a fastener, it’s not difficult to point a camera or phone at that area.

Love watching another sandcast resto underway. So far looks great. Waiting for the next update.

PS: did the chopper ever sell? I saw you had it on eBay.

General Discussion / Re: Sandcast or Harley? There is the question!

Maybe owning 2 Harley's will get me thrown out of the club... :D

Not if I still have a vote! Long time no see Mr. Swan. BTW...both HD’s are beeeautiful!!!

You know guys I’ve wanted one of these for years and a gold one at that. If it wasn’t so far away I’d buy this. Just don’t have any more room

Go for it KP! I wonder if at some point when more people realize these machines are very much real and out there if they’re rarity will command higher prices?

Ran across this listing. I’m not sure if this particular VIN has been discussed. It’s not in the directory.

I’ve never seen a frame VIN that looked quite like this one. Thoughts anyone? At least he’s honest in his description as to what he’s actually selling.  ;) ;)

Nice to see you making headway John. Did I see on FB you’re looking for rims? Yours pooched? If the rear is a rolled rim I think they’re a tough find.

I wonder what the point is of displaying a screen shot of our VIN directory  with pairings not even close to that VIN range?

There’s a set with 28 tops on the sandcast K0 Facebook group.

Nice! Steve and I were in contact again the other day regarding a sandcast and a CBX. He’s keen on those CBX’s. Has a few in the garage! 👍

After exchanging emails on this topic KP, I think you should. I have a slight hunch as to who the underhanded troll may be but I’m not throwing it out there. I’ll be watching for an update.
