Title: Carb Bodies for K0 vs. 71-76
Post by: Joe K on February 23, 2010, 07:54:35 am
Hello,

Does anyone know if the carb bodies are the same and interchangable for the K0 (1 cable into 4) with the later carbs for the 71-76?

Thank you,
Joe

An interesting question!!!
I believe the problem area would be that the early cable pull carbs have an individual throttle stop screw, whereas the later linkage carbs have a single idle adjuster screw on the lifting bar set up.
I suspect that the later carbs would still have the casting for the throttle stop screw, so it may be possible to drill and tap that out, and then to carry out the conversion you have suggested.

Let us know how it works out!

Cheers - Chris

this idea has crossed my mind more than once, also there are only two air tubes at the top of the carbs, with four air tubes on the k0 carbs , good news if you can do it ,good luck
