I have completed the body work on 786/917 and would greatly appreciate some help on how best to picking the colors to repaint the bike. I have looked at the color chips but don't want to blow the selection . Is ther color codes that would help. Thanks. Colton

It is the most exciting time when you get to add a bike this original to a collection, i am considering just a light oil spray and leaving it as is 40 years of grime and all. It appears i am going to be able to track down the original bill of sale and the bank loan . what fun. Gary

Hi all is there a opinion on the stamp pad of the bike on e bay, I am interested but my stamp pad on number 917 is a small pad, wider stamp numbers. Is it possible that a motor with such a low number can have a wide pad on the engine. Thanks. Gary

Here is some photos of 6753 with motor 6758 , it has been of the road since 1973 , here in canada they have a buyers package that track this stuff. i think it has the original tires. i cleaned it up and am riding it now. i added a photo of me in1970 on my honda. if you look close you can see its a no pointer switch bike. what a shame it met its end with a chain throw. Many thanks to wayne for the posting on how to shrink the photos, us rookies need all the help we can get

Hi I am restoring number 786 motor 917 . It has what looks like 20000 miles on it. Last plated in 1985. It is running really good but it needs a complete restoration. This site is a great place to gather information . Every one involved in this site should be very proud of it. This forum give people like me confidece to take on a project that may seem overwhelming, gives people confidence that they can get help in areas the have little experience . I Had a 1969 sand cast in 69 and being young and foolish drove it to its demise in 1971 by throwing a chain throug the crank case. Pached it with a beer can and some sort of glue. I topped up the oil but it could no longer stand the thrashing and pushed a extra hole in the case with some sort of engine internal . What a shame, I feel as bad about it today as I did then.
