hydrogen embrittlement occurs in high strength steels such as spring steel resulting from plating process.  any good chromer will know this and will heat treat the parts within 4 hours after plating to get the hydrogen out of the steel.  if heat treating is not done, the parts will break when back in operation.

Hi Marcello,

But I found a set of springs in one of my spare part boxes I got with the bike.

I am not sure if they belong to my KO

They look pritty NOS.

Can you please check if they are correct? Overall lenght is around 21.7 cm

I count  16  "steps" (whats the correct word?)
