General Discussion / Re: Shipping Bike from Canada to USA

Wayne,

I’ve used these people to ship an expensive bike from Toronto to Los Angeles. Very satisfied with their performance. They’ll take care of the paperwork as well.

Super idea, count me in on the LA to Barber Sandcast run next year. Anytime in the summer would work well for me.

When you got the engine was it painted white by chance? Think I came across this engine in the past, can give you some history on it if it's the same one.

I've used cms and they've come through on some hard to find parts for various Honda bikes.

Parts Wanted / Re: Early exhaust spigots
« on: November 05, 2015, 09:25:15 pm »
I'm building a cafe out of a K0 with a build date of 12/69. I don't need the spigots as I'm putting on a set of yoshimura straight cyclones. If they will work for you let me know. Brian  805 501 2740 SoCal.

They're easy to get to in the center of Nagoya only a 5-10 minute taxi ride from the main train station, which itself is an hours train ride from the main airport. Managed to carry a set of pipes, a pair of tires, a box of small stuff and my carry on to the airport. Japanese efficiency.

Sam, thanks for your kind words. Are you going to be at Quail next week?

It's one of my bikes, VIN 5254 and engine 5218. The other one is VIN 130 and looks almost as nice, but does have some detracting points, mainly parts that are not correct for an early bike, like pointer less switch and 19l tank. I'm thinking of hanging on to it though. Brian
