Title: Shipping parts overseas that contained fuel or oil
Post by: Wayne on May 18, 2018, 08:45:46 am
Has anyone had any issues shipping a part overseas that contained a petroleum product? Things like oil lines, oil tanks or fuel tanks? I sold an item and now I’m wondering if it can go by air as it could contain residual fumes or oil.  ???

Hello Wayne,
Personally, I never had any shipping problem with that... ;)

I’ve had dozens of items shipped to me from the US and Canada over many years and no issues. Oil lines engine parts and many have had oil residue on/in them. If you give the part a clean there will be no problem.
