just got 70 running and took it for its first ride in 28 years, it was crazy cool nothing like the Harley's i am used to riding, my question is do i need to add anything to the fuel on this stock bike? will running pump gas mess with the valve seats,,,,thanks Jim

Jim. I had this question as well when I was looking into rebuilding my head. The answer is, you should be fine on pump gas. Aluminum heads already have hardened seats pressed into them so they won't sink from the reduced lubrication in Lead Free Fuel, Gas, Petrol whatever you want to call it. (That was for KP) ;) Old cast iron heads area different story.

The laws have changed the fuel in the last 30 years.
The early 70 fuel is't the today fuel.
Now the fuel is green, without Pb.
I prefer to use that we call (in Italy) V/power by Shell, it is 98 octane and is good for our old engines with carbs.
