Title: Sandcast 6477 chopper on Craigslist
Post by: Kevin M on January 15, 2017, 09:09:31 pm
Sandcast 6477 with E 6528 is listed on Craigslist in Los Angeles (San Fernando Valley). The seller doesn't list a price and will sell to the highest offer - but says it won't be cheap.

I know it's hard to judge from pictures, but what do you think the bike like is worth?

You are really only buying a late run sandcast frame as the engine is a re-stamped die cast cased engine. There is not much else on the bike that is of any great value IMHO other than maybe the instruments and the period style of the bike. My bidding would stop at $3k

seller says, "if you don't know about these bikes"..............  ka-ching, ka-ching.   seller has visions of retirement from the sale of this sandcast. more like ker-klunk, ker-klunk.  of what is left of bike, what's not been cut or hacked ?

Maybe you should include that VIN in the register and declare it as dead wood.

I'm thinking more "Wood Duck" than dead wood  ;D
