Shows and Events / MID OHIO 2016 July 8th ,9th, 10th

Every year, tens of thousands enthusiasts join the AMA and the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum, and nearly 1,000 independent vendors at vintage motorcycling’s biggest bash. The event includes racing, the country's largest motorcycle swap meet, seminars, stars from the sports past and present, bike shows and more, all designed to recapture a simpler time and remind us what's fundamentally cool about riding motorcycles.

For a hint of what you’ll experience this year, check out our past coverage of AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days. Then, buy your tickets and mark your calendar. You’re about to experience the best that motorcycling history has to offer -- all over again.

Best regards,

Conrad Ledig

Parts For Sale / CB750 SANDCAST & K0 16012-300-004 CARB NEEDLE JET SET
« on: March 13, 2016, 02:03:09 pm »
I found (6) unopened 16012-300-004 CB750 Sandcast and K0 Carburetor needle jet set in my card box.
Replacing these needles will help make it run like new carburetors.
Nothing works like original NOS parts.
These are getting very hard to find.
Sell them for $60.00 each with $5.00 shipping to the Lower 48 states.
Email me with any questions.

Member's Bikes / Re: #410 has Landed!

By the 1960s , G.N.Gonzales was a Honda distributor with a territory that covered the South East and the middle third of the United States. GN Gonzales grew through the '70s and '80s to become a premiere Honda, Yamaha and Kawasaki dealership with the largest motorcycle showroom in the world.
In 1969 word got around town that GN had (2) 4 cylinder Hondas on the show room floor. This attracted lots of rider into the dealership to see these machines.
This bike is one of these original bikes. Mr. Green worked for the USPS and bought this bike in 1969. He was the kind of guy who bought all the "First" items sold. The "cutting edge of technology"guy. Mr. Green dided in 1972 leaving this bike to his brother.
I had heard about this bike being under Mr. Green's brothers carport about 5 years ago, but there was two friends of mine who had dibbs on it before I could buy it. The first guy in line died, and the second guy decided he did not want it. So one Saturday morning looking thru my emails, I came across the phone number, made the call an arranged a viewing that morning. By noon, it was on the trailer and headed to my house.
I've been building and restoring bikes for the last 40 years and just did not want to do anymore. I listed it here that Sat afternoon, and sold it Sunday morning to the proud new owner.
Now I'm hunting for the other one.

General Discussion / Re: New VIN directory requests
« on: November 02, 2014, 10:13:58 am »
I'd like to see the vin reg put into a spreadsheet format in numberical order. You would be able to attach pictures to that format. Members would be able to reorder depending on their need. Many different colums of information could be added. It would be a living document and the admin could lock it down, but the members could use it.
Frame number
Engine number
Left horn
Right horn
ect.

It would be a tracker of changes.

I find that if you leave the part in too long I get the black coating. When I use it in for a shorter time period I do not get the black coating.
