My Candy Ruby Red sandcast had broken sidecovers when I got it, I had a set of honda covers repainted but the paint guy missed matching the fade. The sidecovers are gorgeous but stand out like a sore thumb on a faded bike. I really don't want to restore it since it's so original.
Has anyone had luck painting to match or will I need to find faded non broken old sidecovers? Painting the entire bike is my last option.
I borrowed these sidecovers from my diecast, one was nos blue/green and I almost cried when I painted it red.
