My sandcast 5511 has chromed footpegs, obviously the po removed the rubber, chromed them and put the rubber back on. The problem is they are loose and the metal core is a round pin so they roll.
Later footpegs are square inside right? Have I noticed a new difference?

Don,
Most of the round pegs actually have a little tang on the bottom near the pivot to prevent rotation of the rubber and new rubber should be fairly snug on the peg. It is possible that they over etched the pegs prior to chroming and reduced the diameter too much or maybe the rubbers are just old and hard and shrunk up some. And all Sandcasts came with round front pegs. I think the square pegs showed up around K2.

Good to know, thanks. Maybe my K0 diecast hotrod has proper front pegs it would trade. Nothing much else is original on that one. lol.
