Title: 3421 on eBay
Post by: kmb69 on May 25, 2014, 09:11:47 pm
Another SC on eBay. Claims mostly original.
Not in the VIN Directory, 3421/3220.
Is the seller a member here?

Realy original?
-frame seems to be painted
-not recessed key
-not short chain guard
-not original headlight
-not original seat
-missing original stickers somewhere

What do you think?

after KP's post, i got fixated on the kick start rubber.....  which looks like it's come part way off.  and the kick start lever is not in the correct position.

I agree. Appears to have been restored and not very "original" at that. That painted frame jumped right out in the VIN pic.

The bike's not bad but to claim that this is a truly original bike is stretching it.
It's had some work which the seller seems to not see. In addition to that already post a few I noticed that puts pay to any original tag. The kick start clamping bolt is wrong as is the clutch cable and speedo cable. Air box bolts later, turn signal front left is a ring in The lower triple clamp bolt looks to be a later one. At least one side cover and the air box has been painted and the seat is a recover
One thing, it has a set of #28 caps on the carbs

Yes, despite all, it is still nice example. If the pipes are really original, it is big advantage of this bike.
