The first K1 had been equipped with some KO parts. My German K1  owners manual show's a K1 with KO seat.

That may be one of those.

So, a true "K0" based on the information in the advert - ie a transitional model between first model CB750 and CB750K1. In the UK these were always classed as being very late CB750's supplied from the factory with K1 carbs, airbox, and one or two other items I don't recall (18 /48T sprockets perhaps). There is reference in a Honda UK publication to "K0's" having frame VIN's in range 1044826 to 1044947, and E VIN's in range 1044848 to 1045147.
Wonders what the VIN's are for this one?

Yes that can be one of those "real KO". I think in Pete Shoemaker CB750 Super Profile book all details are listed.
Ultra rare, something for those who have anything else.

Edit:
sprocket 18, 48

Eric Warburton had one of those

If this bike was dated November 1970, I would say maybe ... but it is dated March 1971 so for me it is not possible release in March with parts of original K0 ...

Pretty sure that James May the UK motoring Journalist owns a K0/K1 transition Gold bike and it came from France, imported into the UK by David Silver Spares. See this atricle:-

Date of registration as said in the ad.
Production date may be earlier.

But we need VIN to be sure. You could phone him and ask.

It's very interesting.... I did not know this German advertising K1 with the Duck tail seat....
But anyone can make a look on K0 K1 and affirm that it is original factory .... How can he say for 300 bikes? I do not think Honda is listed then these bikes half and half K1/K0 ...

ok.........  dammit.  i wrote a somewhat long post regarding this picture and computer lost what i wrote, can't take the time to write it over again.  (need a new computer)

interesting poster given to me over 10 years ago.  the bike pictured in this poster is what i understand a "K0" transitional model to be, a model made BEFORE the K1 issued.  (notice, there appears no rubber boot on the #1 fulcrum.)  anyone seen this poster before ?

my understanding, the"K0" essentially is a CB750 with the fulcrum operated (K1 type) carburetors and 1969-70 type CB750 side covers, duck tail seat and plastic gauges.

Would be nice to see more pics of the "May bike" and know the frame/engine vins.  certainly looks, as our friend KP says, "the real meal deal."

the advertisement Gerard posted could be a "K0" but not enough pictures and no vins to decide.

Steve, this picture/poster was used on 1970 Honda motorcycle range japanese brochure.
But please note, that many companies are using also not serial produced bikes for pictures to brochures. This is still till nowadays.

Kind of like CB750-2113 was seen in early factory advertisements and not "serial produced."
