Just connected with a seller in the Sacramento area of California who has a late model sandcast. I had a trusted friend take a look for me and take these photos. I offered to post the ad here to help the community and the seller. His description:
1969 HONDA CB750 SANDCAST KO
ONE FAMILY OWNED SANDCAST
ALL STOCK WITH ORIGINAL CALIFORNIA BLACK LICENSE PLATES
BIKE IS IN VERY NICE UNRESTORED CONDITION WITH LOW MILES
IT IS IN ITS STICK BLUE PAINT
SEAT COVER HAS BEEN REPLACED ON ORIGINAL SEAT PAN
CLEAN CALIFORNIA TITLE

pic showing oil tank, the top bracket held by bolt looks different than the usual factory... is it the pic, the oil tank or me?

We do not see the oil tank... ??? I see only a plastic cover of unknown origin fixed by bolts in the rubbers of the originals covers ??

Steve is correct. Incorrect weird looking cover was bolted to the oil tank.

Does anyone know who the new owner is?

I ended up buying it. My hope is to clean it up, get it running nicely and enjoy it for a while!
