Title: Sandcast 1928 / E2010 on eBay
Post by: Kevin M on December 23, 2020, 01:21:44 am
Sandcast 1928 / E2010 is listed on eBay. Looks to be mostly all there with original paint on the body parts, a repainted frame and top-end rebuild.  I do wonder about the paint job on the frame.  Looks like it was not prepped very well, if at all.  It appears to me that someone attempted a rather amateur restoration some time ago.  Also, the shocks look like the aftermarket replica shocks from Z1 Parts. The add claims that the bike has original un-stamped exhaust.  They look almost too good to be original, but that's the claim.  Would those be Lotus roots?  Overall, it is a low mid-number sandcast with reasonable mileage and lots of potential.

Agreed, this is a nice bike. Curious what it goes for. The sandcast on Bringatrailer.com and the Hagerty article has a lot of people talking about sandcasts these days!
