Wife wants to know what I want for Christmas so I figured Sandy parts are a good thing to ask for! ;)
I'm restoring my original two hole no relief air box but won't be running it so I need a reproduction. I also need to decide how I am going to approach paint at this time.
Are the Yamiya boxes worth the amount they ask ($614.00 CAD) for a painted piece? Are they of better quality, fit than the others out there? Is the color as good as it gets for a painter to match to using House of Kolor products? (my painter is an area rep and says he can do this job)
I have found others out there much cheaper unpainted. If I bought one of these I would have to find a piece my painter can match my bike to. Probably not a huge deal.

Thoughts anyone? I don't mind paying for something as long as it's worth it, and in the long run save some fussing around. Thanks.

I've used the LPM's twice and have been satisfied. Of course they had to be painted but covered nicely. I also bought LPM and Yamiya sidecovers and thought the Yamiya's were a little better quality so I would guess the Yamiya boxes are probably better but only a guess.

I've only seen and used the DSS boxes, they've always worked out very well.

I received a Yamiya 2-hole airbox and related hardware. Ditto KP's appraisal for orginality. Perfect reproduction from what I see.

Also i received a Yamiya 2 holes with hardware.
I think this one very very close to the original.
After painting is impossible to make a distinction..........perhaps an ANTI-DRUG dog could discover it!!!
