Depressing, but that's the life.
I ride my bykes as soon i can.

I ride when I can but it's still winter in Minnesota! But last weekend it was in the 40's (F.) and I saw a couple of bikes on the road. I'll wait.

Still a bit wintery here too but I ride as soon as the salt is washed from the roads by the spring rain. :)

Great post!
I ride when ever I can , all year round (use a "hack" 400/4 in the winter "salty" months here in the UK)
Biggest fear is that one day, I won't be able to anymore, quite likely 'cos THEY won't let me anymore. Seriously, there are plans being muted to introduce petrol rationing in the UK, to reduce miles travelled to essential only and "save the environment".
Ride while you can - one day you may not have the choice.

Get this Chris. Within the Province of Quebec in Canada, all vehicles must have snow tires on between December 15 to March 15 so if you have a nice thaw you can't even take your bike out for a spin!
Taxis and passenger vehicles registered in Québec, including mopeds or motorized scooters and motorcycles, must be equipped with winter tires. This obligation also applies to passenger vehicles available for rental in Québec.

:o One could argue that it is essential to be able to ride our bikes!!

I think the underlying message is simple - don't put off untill later doing something you enjoy, 'cos none of us know what later will bring (with just one ultimate certainty!).
