Title: sandcast carbs

My sandcast vin 2155 (just bought it from SOOC member Peter Ovesen ) has no washer between the carb cap top and and the carburator. My partslist say ther must be one, part no.1671-275-004. Peters partslist from 1969 does not have it.
Can anybody help ?

your early sandcast shouldn't have the washer

keeps the spring flat and prevents snagging
