Title: Intake Manifold
Post by: frankt on May 26, 2013, 04:42:24 pm
I recently purchased off eBay a set of intake manifolds advertised for a K0. When they arrived all were marked 2/3. I tried to install them but the spacing was off. I wrote the seller and he replied that he has sold many sets and I am the first buyer that has had a problem installing them. So...am I missing something here or can four 2/3 marked manifolds be properly installed or was the seller pulling my chain.
Also is there a difference between sandcast manifolds and K1 manifolds and is there a good source for these items?
Thanks,

Yes, you have to have a 1-4 set and a 2-3 set. Your eBay seller tapped you.
Yes, there is a difference between K0's and K1's.

16211-300-305 Insulator A (1-4) SC & K0
16212-300-305 Insulator B (2-3) SC & K0 (Not Available)

16211-300-030 Insulator A (1-4) K1-K6
16212-300-030 Insulator B (2-3) K1-K6

David Silver Spares sells a pretty decent set of -305 reproductions.

I would buy a pair of your 2-3's if they are genuine Honda -305's in the bag. PM me if interested.
You can still buy the 1-4's from Honda.

Thanks for the info. The manifolds I received don't appear to be Honda. They are not in bags. I believe the are reproductions.

;) yep you've been screwed over  #2 and #3 insulators are for what they say ,they will only fit  #2 and#3  cylinders  either #2 or #3 or both but for #1 and #4 cylinders for them you will need #1 and#4 insulators and when fitted correctly  they will read #1 #2 #3 #4 clever buggers those japs  ;) don't worry you are not the first or the last to get shafted on eBay

frankt: you are not the first person to have a problem. I know other people having problem with non factory manifolds. It is highly reccomended to buy original parts if they are available. Price is not much higher, and they fit.... :)

If you paid for them thru Paypal, all is not losted. Open a "not as described" complaint with ebay. You will be able to send this item back and be issued a full refund. You will only be out of the return shipping charges.
Best regards,
