Title: Finish of the caliper
Post by: CB750faces.com (Lecram) on March 15, 2015, 10:39:58 am
What's the finish of the front caliper? Is it painted or blank aluminum?

If you're asking about the caliper and not the master cylinder it is not black.  I've painted mine the same color as the engine cases.

Thanks Mark, it's the grey caliper indeed.

i concur with Mark.

because 4363 and 232 had NO TRACE of paint on them, i used to believe the caliper metal was raw aluminum finish.

2157 changed my ideas on caliper finish or lack thereof.  2157 definitely painted aluminum and had all appearances of unmolested factory finish.  the finish on caliper appears same as on heads and cylinders.

The caliper on mine appears to have remnants of the same grey used on the engine cases.
