Title: Engine rebuild parts source ?
Post by: atm cycles on April 04, 2017, 08:05:22 am
Hello, I'm looking to source engine parts for a complete engine rebuild of my later sandcast ,55xx. Where can I find such things as the correct head casket, cam chain and guide and tensioner, primary chains and tensioner, correct pistons and rings and transmission bearings?  Thanks in advance. Tim

if you're in the usa, yamiya makes it the easiest.  you'll want to try finding a sticky head gasket and slightly larger thickness diameter O-rings (91303-035-00) than the stock gasket set supplies so you can have some assurance the cyl/head joint won't leak.  i assume you have a parts book.

Thanks Steve. No I don't have a parts book. Where can I acquire one?  Tim
