Title: 5708/E5420 on ebay
Post by: Steve Swan on May 27, 2017, 10:18:28 pm
the seller says, "The 1969 leather swingarm bushings were replaced with machined bronze bushings."  as we used to say at work, "you just can't make this shit up."  wonder where seller got info swing arm bushes were leather....

leather s.a. bushings is almost as good as the story a guy told me in all earnestness that he had his CB750 up to "over 170 mph."

here's the reply on leather s.a. bushings, "When I dissembled the Swingarm for restoration I removed a stack set of leather bushings from each side. It flexed like a wet noodle until the bronze inserts went in."

anything's possible i guess;  not from the factory.......
