Title: Strange Ignition Kill Switch Knob in CB750 Shop Manual
Post by: ashimotok0 on June 21, 2018, 03:10:21 am
Has anyone ever noticed or commented on the strange 'Kill' switch knob in the CB750 Shop Manual? The model photographed must have been a a p.p. bike because I noticed it has a rigid brake pipe.

Cheers ... Ash

I had noticed too, but it looks like it is retouched and that button has been added to the image...

yes, i am guessing the bike this unusual switch knob is shown is, as Gerard proposes, added to the image or else is on a motorcycle earlier than the early pre-production units.  in my magazine collection, every picture of the early p-p bike definitely shows a raw aluminum switch housing with NO kill knob.  the other thing interesting with this picture are the JIS head screws for the brake reservoir clamp.

Yes I agree... To me it looks like the lever off a Honda fuel tap (Petcock ) black anodized or painted black and stuck on.
