Title: Reproduction Air Box
Post by: Wayne on September 23, 2010, 10:33:15 am
Does anyone make a reproduction air box that is the same material as the original? (ABS) Doesn't matter if it's 3 hole with reliefs or not as long as it's the same material. So far I have only found Nylon and FRP. Thanks!

Never seen one in the years I've been doing this. Honda did have a bunch of NOS airboxes being sold some years ago which I think were made using similar white material. Only thing is to keep looking as they do come up on ebay from time to time KP

Thanks KP. I was hoping if I could get a new or repro of the same material I would cut the whole inlet side out of it an graft it into my 2 hole/no relief box. Figured that would give me superior strength where the carb manifolds go in. I thought Yamiya made one a while back but I only see two materials on their site now.  :( Guess I'll have to get creative!  ;D

I found what I was looking at. They have ABS sidecovers.  ::)
