Title: Early Mirrors
Post by: kp on February 17, 2010, 07:17:58 pm
Hi all,
Is it possible to disassemble an early mirror and have everything in one piece. I can disassemble a mirror and get 100 pieces. I have a pair of early mirrors that are garbage unless I can get the metal re-chromed. Seems to me that what ever gets assembled, can be disassembled but knowing how is my dilema. Any answers. KP

It might be easier (and cheaper) to find a pair off a 1969 or 70 CB/CL 175/350/450.

I disassembled a pair of mirrors with patent number using a GPS suction cup. First of all i heated the mirror on hot water. Someone chromed early mirrors without loosing the stamped logos with patent numbers? What is the process?

Thanks.

Marcello

Simple enough Just ask the chrome psalter not to polish the logos etc out
