Title: I DON'T THINK THIS IS CORRECT RIM?
Post by: sandydogg on June 08, 2013, 06:04:03 pm
this is the rear rim on my k0 donor bike. looking at pictures of the "rolled rim" correct for the sand cast, I believe this is a non-rolled rim and incorrect. opinions are greatly appreciated!! thanks!

Rim face pictured appears to be the later "K0" type also used on early K1's.  If so, the face is somewhat round, yet flat, not perfectly round.

All sandcasts and early "K0's" had perfectly round rim face.

Later K1's thru K6 had a very distinctively wide flat face.

thanks, that is what I suspected! it's sometimes hard to tell by looking at someone else's pictures.

so I guess I need a rim to go with the original sand cast hub, which is laced to a 16" chopper wheel. and spokes.  :P
