Nice! Close to 576/E748 that was first registered in Ontario.

Hello,
could it be that there were Sandcast engines with the number over 17000 in France?

Best Regards
Johann

Ya better off posting on the Facebook site. Nobody replies on this site much these days

You’re so right KP. This site has so much useful information for enthusiasts and purists. I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again. Someone should compile it into an e-book so it’s never lost.

Also has this really cool vacuum gauge to vacuum synch the carbs which works real nice, put new vacuum lines on it and away we went!

Bowman gauge. Nice!

Sandcast 5622 / E5326 is listed on Bring a Trailer.  It is a beautiful Candy Blue Green restoration by Vic World. Of note, the VIN directory lists 5622 mated with E5743, so I'm not sure what's up with that.

I guess only Vic could answer that one. If it were a typo my big fingers might hit the wrong key but a whole number series?

Welcome to the site Chip. I rotated your images for you. Unfortunately I can’t modify them within your posts.

The one we are interested in here is the "Attach" function. Simply hit the "Browse" button and search for the image you want to attach to your post on your hard drive. If you have more than one attachment, click "more attachments"

Review of VIN'S For Directory / Re: 7/E90 now in VIN Directory

Yes, it's possible, I am waiting for the answer of the seller about frame and engine numbers ...

I can assure you it’s not 7/E90. I’ve confirmed the location of the bike and it’s not in France.

OK. The seller actually posted the bike as CB750-10007!! We would be more inclined to post it as CB750-10007XX Mystery solved, it’s not a listing for 7/E90.

What the heck is going on here? Overspray on the seat pan and a masked area on the tank?

Some news about this bike 7/E90, it seems to be for sale in France, you can see the ad here https://www.lesanciennes.com/annonce/honda-cb-750-four-k0-1969-a497133?ftype=vo&fcat=motos&q=Honda&rt=o
Did you know it was in France ?

If that is 7/E90 it no longer appears to be “unmolested” for sure. The picture I received years back of the frame vin showed the expected patina. (Light rust). Also I see later upper brake hose, no thin lipped alt cover and a locking tank cap?? Maybe that’s a requirement to import into France? I wish the images were higher resolution with pics of the VIN’s.

Wayne..... thanks. I gather “early bikes” didn’t have the US pints indicated. Will be interesting to hear what defines and “early bike”? I will check my oil canister bolt.

Following along here John. She’s coming along nicely. Remember the early oil filter bolt had 14 mm hex head. Your later finned cover was probably fitted with a 12 mm. Made guys less likely to torque the bejesus out of em. I think KP sourced some side cover and other decals. He’ll chime in I’m sure.
