A bit of a longshot, but I would like to find frame  with VIN somewhere near to engine 10005715, so within a couple of hundred numbers either way  would be good.

Thanks all - Chris R.

On the subject of meetings, is anything happening in Europe this year with a CB750 "theme", that's worth visiting?

Chrome - Anodizing and Other Metal Finish Procedures / Clearcoat
« on: February 23, 2010, 05:46:12 pm »
Would be interested to know what "brand" of clearcoat is being used for alloy items such as wheel hubs, fork lower cases, engine covers, etc?
A couple of guys at Ohio said they were using a "Eastwoods" product - is there a specific product code for this.
I am looking for something in an aerosol can, and which hopefully I can get in the UK.
Thanks - Chris R.

General Discussion / Blue spot on upper crankcase?
« on: February 22, 2010, 08:13:33 pm »
Hi everyone
Anyone know the significance of the blue spot matking on the upper crankcase of some sandcasts. The picture shows it on engine #1003089. Have also come accross another one, marked exactly the same, on a very closely numbered engine (#1003272).
Thanks - Chris R.

Frame and Chassis Related Elements / Mainstand with / without bar
« on: February 17, 2010, 09:40:10 pm »
I am trying to understand at what serial number the mainstand with reinforcing bar was introduced. I have a fairly original #1001256 which has the later type stand fitted. Also have #1001120 with a stand with a piece of threaded rod welded on. Is this perhaps because this stand got damaged, or because it was a factory fitted "no bar" stand which bent in use. Owners of other early serail number bikes can perhaps comment?
Also, are ther any other differences with mainstands?
Thanks guys.
