Published Material / cb750 video
« on: October 14, 2012, 01:56:38 am »
Hello,

it's a video that Honda France Do in 1999 for the 30 year anniversary,

quality is poor i watch it so many time and the VHS start to be old ( i rip it on dvd yesterday)

you can see a beautiful red and a dark green Sandcast and a redblue green in england
we can  suppose that the cb that we see in us are the " late pre production model " present in Las Vegas convention dealer in jan 1969
and the blue green is one of the Brington bike ( not sure)

hope you'll enjoy

Paint - Badges and Component Refinishing / air box
« on: March 09, 2012, 06:03:43 pm »
hello

The original top air box of my candy blue green has cracks (typical on this parts)
the price for a nos top air box or a used  in correct shape is too expensive for me in the moment  ( we offer me on ebay around 500 or 600 us dollars)

my bike is an early diecast and i'm not intersting in the 2 holes yamiya air box

i've see that LPM and david silver spares sold repro of the air box
i've got some question about it
do you think that this 2 shops got the same supplier or is it differents ( if it's different what is the best)

in your opinion what do you think about  this repro parts  ( 100% matching with the original) if there is differences what is it?

my original air box bottom lower is really perfect and i'd like keep it on my bike
can i put the repro top air box on my original air box bottom????

thank-you  very much for your  help

Exhaust / questions about the exhaust
« on: September 21, 2011, 12:55:22 pm »
hello evrybody,

this forum and website is just fantastic...

i've got a question on the website at this page

http://www.cb750sandcastonly.com/support23.htm

it's writing

     D.  Outlet Diameters
           1.  Early Type - 52mm o.d., 48.5mm i.d.
                A.  No internal baffling, essentially megaphone
           2.  Late Type - 52mm o.d., 48mm i.d.
                B.  Internal baffling present

what is O.D and I.D??
i understand the difference between the early and late exhaust type but where exactly is the 48 or 48.5 mm size??

second question i've got 2 cb750 diecast one 10131XX and the other one 10282XX
in your opinion what type of exhaust was on this bike when it was new??

unstamped or HM300

thanks to your help

Benji
