Fuel (gas - petrol) Tanks, Side Covers and Air Box / Fuel cap
« on: February 18, 2021, 02:05:08 pm »
Sorry if this had been discussed yet.

I have that fuel cap.

Has slightly but noticeable thicker brackets for the rear pin than the other ones on my K0.
Is this a sandcast part?

Parts For Sale / FS: Early rear wheel damper NOS, NIB
« on: January 25, 2020, 10:18:01 am »
I have in total 8 + 8 rear wheel damper for sale:

5 + 5 in closed foil, 3 + 3 in opened foil

(I needed to open one foil for my sandcast rostoration)

Very early version without hole and with one nipple.

I think they were replaced by service bulletin during the sandcast production.

Part number s are

41241-300-020 (right)
41242-300-000 (left)

We need 4 + 4 per wheel, so that gives 2 sets.

No idea what is a correct price for those rare early NOS parts.

I´´'d say EURO 250 for all or EURO 150 per set + shipping cost (e.g. EURO 37 to USA, EURO 18 in EUROPE)

Motorcycle's For Sale / German magazin "hobby" April 1969
« on: June 27, 2018, 05:11:03 am »
The other day we bespoke the Clymer MÜNCH.

Found a German magazin in my boxes dated April 16, 1969 with rare pics of that clymer.

Some sandcast pics as well, I assume thats the brighton bike. With pic of baffles for Gerard ...

And if you like old Porsche race cars, presentaion of the insane 917 as well.

For free

I know that Steve is a fan of that cylmer and is collecting old bike literature, so I would like
to send it to him first.

You may find that issue on German ebay from time to time

General Discussion / Bought a motorcycle today
« on: June 17, 2018, 01:43:29 pm »
While having my coffee this morning, I went through small adds and found a bike I fancy to have for long time. Sent him a mail, got a re-call and agreed to buy it. Got contract. Will have it picked up by a carrier soon.

Went out with the dog and had a great walk.

Engine Mechanical / Clutch assembly
« on: October 27, 2017, 01:08:18 am »
Actrually, the new assembled clutch on my bike is not working. Cant pull the lever, clutch is not opening.

So to make sure that I assembled it correctly: that outer clutch ring (Pos. 3 in the parts book), does the "open side" look outside
thts how I met it, or inside to the engine.

Given my table is inside to the engine, is it correct like that?

Any other ideras what went wrong?  The outer clutch basket is KO/Sandcast, but I am not 100% sure that all other parts are, especailly inner basket.

What should sandcast fuel lines should look like?

On my diecast, there is fabric around the line.

Is this the correct line and if so, who has?

Which steering damper was fixed in 1969 if you ordered it for your CB750 at the HONDA dealer?
