Hello, my name is Steve Hoy I'm a motorcycle enthusiast and love to ride the old bikes. I got into vintage  motorcycles about 7 years ago and now have the sickness. I've been buying and flipping motorcycles of all sorts but of all the barn and garage finds I have found, I never thought I'd come across a Sandcast! Although it's in pieces it seems like most of it is there.  I will post a thread on my find very soon.  It actually belonged to Klies.  I'm now the 3rd owner.  I hope to learn much more about the Sandcast bikes and thank you all so much in advance for any help. I've been a cb750 fan for a long time and if the help here on this site  is anything like the sohc forum then I'm in good hands.  Typing this from my phone I apologize for any bad spelling.   Hope to Learn from you all soon

Steve Hoy

Welcome aboard Steve.

The guys on this forum are THE Sandcast EXPERTS of the Universe.
Many of the distinctions have been identified by these sleuths but occasionally another one pops up.
The more pics, the better. Like on SOHC, you may have to have a few posts before posting pics so log some posts.

Keith (also SOHC KMB69)

Why change the grey colour? Is it not original colour?
I remember seeing a grey german licenced CB750, engine vin 111 at the german motogp May '70.
And years later another grey one in Sweden.

Erling: As said from my resource, there was silver metallic colour for K2 and K4, but only available in Japan. There were no silver colour for  german 750 or EU country general anytime. This tango´s silver seems to be painted.

Correct,  the previous owner painted it this way. That's why I'm putting some stock skins on it.

Hi Steve,
This is Duane up in Warsaw, welcome aboard!
Glad to hear you found a Sandcast. I have been fortunate to find three Sandcast bikes over the years.
This site is just a wealth of amazing information and has helped me uncover many needed technical details for my bikes. These guys are great and are the EXPERTS.
I get down your way quite often, so let me know if you ever need anything, you still should have my phone number.
Good luck on your restoration.
Duane
