I just bought a "barn find" 750 K0. It is late in the K0 run with only 12K miles. Some parts are missing and I would like to find used original manufacture. So any word on bone yards is appreciated.

Thanks
Alan

Thank you. When I take inventory of what I need I will do as you suggest.

Alan, with the arrival of Ebay, motorcycle "junk-yards" have just about dis-appeared. in the  Denver Boulder area, I can think of only 2 , "Steel's" in Denver, & "Ty's" in Longmont. the "DUMP" ( Denvers used m/c parts) and "Boulder Bike Works" of various locations, are long gone. the end of an era perhaps, but then, their "offerings" had been reduced by age & attrition to almost nothing and in order to survive, "amost nothing": became dear. Ebay & Craigs list, are the current norm, & I'll not defend "em, BUT ,,,,The odds of finding  the bit  you need on a "global" scale, far outweigh the odds of scrounging 'em"  off the ground in the general area a similar "derilect" once laid. Shop "forums" for similar model owners, "they're notorious packrats" . & the crap they've accrued will be both "TRUER"  than ebay sellers & of better condition. luck g

Salvage yards in Colorado are pretty sketchy.  The only nice one was in Greeley but I think he closed up.
Steels in Denver is good but he's gotten savvy about CB750 K0's and if he has one he keeps it in the back for EBay only.  Walk in and ask and he'll tell you he has nothing while you watch him part one out on eBay.
Action in Colorado springs is a joke.  He knows nothing and will waist your time while he looks in the back to come up with an arm full of junk if anything at all.  If he manages to find anything close to what you want he'll try to rape you for it.
Boulder bike works will try to take you to the cleaners as well but he does let you look around the yard and occasionally has something worth while.  He'll want to price the part before he lets you pull it which is sort of a pain but once in a while he's reasonable.
Both Action and BBW have the mentality that if you want it it must be Gold so they'll try to price it that way but Action takes it too far.
