I finished the gauges restore.

I my self sanded and polished the plastic lens, changed the old face plate by a new one, changed the jewels and painted the needles.
A professional refilled the damper and  cleaned the gauge and lubrifricated the internal componentes.
The speedometer had a diecast gear. Marcel den Butter sold me a sandacst gear.
Now both, speedometer and tachometer works perfectly.

All parts, including nuts and bolts were correct zinced (white or yellow) or chromed.

Now the motorcycle can be assembled.

The engine is assembled, I still need to finish the satin finish on covers and the clutch disks arrive to end the engine.
The alternator/stator cover on the engine will be changed by a correct one that i bought, from another sandcast.

The engine is being assembled into the frame and some satin finish parts are ready.

My birthday is november 28, I hope at least to hear the Yum Yum until that day.

Thanks.

Yesterday was the #6457 "first run", a very exciting day. The sound that a Sandcast makes can not be compared with my K6.
It will be a 12 months restoration, in 10 days my sandcast will be finished.
I am just waiting to finish the alternator cover and the sprocket cover, and waiting a new generator wire harness arrive. I am using an alternator cover from a later CB750.

Someone can confirm if these washers  are yellow zinced?
I did yellow zinced but at   http://cb750sandcastonly.com/support21.htm   these nuts appears white zinced.

My bikes have silver (white) zinc. There are not many bikes on a sand cast that have yellow passivate finish.

My dear Mr. McGovern....   "bikes" on a sandcast..... ;D  what are you dipping into ?  heh, heh

if i recall correctly, the crank case and oil tank drain plugs are yellow zinc.  and spoke nipples. and mounting plates inside airbox and the hex hardware inside the airbox; if i recall correctly.  seems like there might be a couple more parts, but i cannot remember any other yellow zinc parts at this moment.....
