You could be testing the memory but I think it's called Sunny Gold. Same colour as used on the tank stripe. The black badge was the same black as on the Candy Gold tank stripe.

You won't find this paint in any catalogue probably because it's a Japanese formulation. I doubt there is a REAL code for Candy Ruby Red or Candy Blue Green either. These colors have been matched over the years by various companies. You will also not find a code for the frame black or the black parts used on a sandcast. Same for the engine silver. Sunny Gold was used on the tank stripe and the side cover emblem only so doubt it will have ever been given a universal code
On another note, I have 2 early side covers with non-barcode labels which I purchased many years ago. When I removed these from their respective boxes I noted an ever so  subtle difference between the 2. Same for a NOS fork ears I have.
I think if you match the color close or near perfect nobody will ever pick it if it is ever so slightly out. Even if the bike was lined up against a bone stock original nobody could be so good as to say it wasn't correct.
On another note, has anyone ever noticed the Yamiya repop/repainted K0 tanks. The stripes are: IMHO: way off being close to the original look

Ok Kerry thank you for the informative reply much appreciated.
I first picked up on this when I fitted my new old stock badge to one side panel then obtained the other one from a reduction supplier which is a good copy but the colour was so different. My plan is now to send for another one .Send the NOS one to RS paints to Match the colour and re paint the reproduction badges myself.
Thank Garry

Close up shot , I matched this against the stripe on my unrestored tank stripe and is as close as near to perfect as you would expect.
Thank Garry :) :)
