Clearcoat

Would be interested to know what "brand" of clearcoat is being used for alloy items such as wheel hubs, fork lower cases, engine covers, etc?
A couple of guys at Ohio said they were using a "Eastwoods" product - is there a specific product code for this.
I am looking for something in an aerosol can, and which hopefully I can get in the UK.

Anyone know how to get the satiny finish on the alloy to begin with?

NOTE: Chromic acid is a known carcinogen (safety data on above links website)

I agree with ack3r.

I tried in the past to buy from Eastwood, but is hazardous shippment and the costs are high expensive.

For the Europe is a different thing, because this tread was started by Hondasan, i think the RESTOM paint is very good if the procedure will be respected.

About alloy finishing, i think that today we are going to hiper-restoration of these bike, in '70 years i do not think that in the Honda production line they was so refinished and the alloy so brilliant.

The alloy was "medium" polished, not hiper polished like a mirror.

Hi I am  thinking of buying this product. Does it come with a datasheet in English? Is it applied and then baked? Is anything required to prep the satinized surface for adhesion promotion?
