Hi again!
Yes, all sandcasts and K0 had resessed ignition switch. The 24.xxx bike I bought 2,5 month before I was 18 years old in 1970 was a german/dutch bike with resessed ignition switch.
Best regards and I wish you a nice weekend, Bo

Hi.
Now I'checked my german/dutch #5119/5065.

Pilot lamp and throttlegrip whit a "p" between high and low beam
......

I think I've remembered everything and if someone will help me I can send photos to show the german/dutch equippment, just let me know who.
Kind regards, Bo or as we say in Europe Bojje.

Here is a pic of my German K0 with "P" for parking light. Thats a small additional bulp in the heas lamp.

Bojje,

When you post, klick "Additional Potions..." and upload pic.

Hi, You always learn something new!

My 5084 and 5128 must be two of these german bikes as they both have this theftcover and the VIN on the right side. (I live in Sweden).

I bought both of them in boxes with lots of missing parts so there were no winkers, exhaust etc left. I restored them both to the American style but as I understand of this discussion they should have some other parts regarding light switch, winkers, neiman-lock and so on. For now I think Iīll keep them as they are  :-\

I attach a pic of 5084 steering head.

Regards
/Kenneth

Unbelievable.
I start understanding why there are so few German sasndcasts here. They all went to Skandinavia!

Do you have the lover clamp with that oval casting for steering lock?

Great information!!
I am curious, what was on the left hand steering head, was there an aluminium sticker or were these German Sandcast steering heads left bare, with no other identification?
Thanks,
DW

No, I didnīt have the original lower steering stem at all. A lot of parts were missing or of later years. It was a mix of CB750 parts in boxes I bought and actually it was two sandcasts (one frame with missing engine block though). I had to rely heavily on Ebay to get my Sandcasts in true fashion (for example the steering stems wich became the american model). I also have a original 1975 K2 (they kept the look mostly as K2:s in Sweden up to 1976, just changed some minor details). On that bike I have this Neiman steering lock.

Thank You! :)
The bluegreen is now updated with a Sandcast engine but of course not the original as that one was missing.
Both works like charm and I rebuilt them 2012 and 2014 respectively. Ca 5000 km each today.
